Jamshedpur : Following murder of 19-year-old city girl at jungle in Tiring police station area in adjoining Mayurbhanj district of Odisha, two youths from Telco area were today arrested by Odisha police in connection to the murder.
Those arrested were identified as Mithilesh Kumar (28) and Paramjeet Prasad (24), both residents of Telco and Govindpur areas respectively.� An FIR was lodged by the victim’s father Sudarshan Mishra, who is a resident of Prakasnagar in Birsanagar.
The girl, Komal Mishra, who was a student of B. Com party II in Jamshedpur Women’s College, was gagged to death by her lover Mithilesh as she had joined an acting class in the city despite protest by Mithilesh.
Officer-in-charge, Birsanagar police station Bir Singh Munda said that Mithilesh Kumar and Paramjeet Prasad were today arrested by the Odisha police in connection to the murder of Komal Mishra.
Officials said that both the suspects have confessed their offence and have also divulged the reason of the murder.
According to Ray, Komal’s father had on July 31, 2014 lodged a missing report with the Birsanagar police station as his daughter did not return home.�
On the other hand the Tiring police had on September 1, 2014 recovered a body of a girl from the Tiring forest and had tried to get it identified.
