Kolhan University set to hold Sixth Convocation ceremony on November 26

Jamshedpur: Kolhan University is gearing up for its sixth convocation ceremony scheduled to be held on November 26. In a detailed review meeting held on Thursday with conveners of all subcommittees and senior university officials, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Anjila Gupta conducted a point-by-point assessment of the preparations and confirmed that arrangements are progressing as planned.

During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor informed that the Chief Guest, who is also the Chancellor of state universities and the Governor of Jharkhand, will arrive at the convocation hall at 10:00 am. Entry to the convocation venue will strictly be permitted through authorized passes to ensure smooth movement and security.

Officials from the Examination Department briefed the Vice Chancellor that the work of signing all degree certificates has been completed. The Vice Chancellor reviewed key components of the event, including seating arrangements, the designated route and area for the academic procession, the designated room for robing of the Chief Guest and dignitaries, and the parking plan for vehicles.

Expressing satisfaction over the progress made by various committees, Prof. Gupta instructed all units to continue monitoring their tasks closely in the remaining days and ensure that any pending work is completed promptly. She emphasized the importance of maintaining coordination and adhering to the timeline to ensure a flawless convocation ceremony.

Prof. Gupta also sought updates from the Media Cell regarding the press conference scheduled on November 23. The press briefing will be held at 12:00 pm and is expected to provide detailed information about the upcoming convocation.
