Jamshedpur, Feb 12: Kolhan University Saturday issued notification for its senate elections which would be held on 28th February. It also announced that the fifth senate meeting would be held on 10th March.
Sources said the process for senate elections had started off. Distribution of nomination forms has started. Polling for the senate would begin at 10 am and continue till 2 pm.
The counting of votes would be held on 28th February in all constituent colleges of KU and the PG department. For the non-teaching staff representatives, the counting of votes would take place on 2nd March, sources said.
Sources said a total of 13 representatives would be elected to the senate. There will be 10 teacher representatives, two representatives from PG department and one non-teaching staff representative.
The participating colleges include Singhbhum College Chandil, ABM College Jamshedpur, GC Jain Commerce College Chaibasa, MGM Medical College Jamshedpur, Mahila College Kharsawan, Degree College Jagannathpur, Degree College Majhgaon, Degree College Manoharpur, Model College Kharsawan and Tata College Chaibasa.
