Chaibasa/Jamshedpur: Kolhan University on Saturday carried out a major administrative and academic reshuffle involving principals and faculty members across its constituent and affiliated colleges. The notification regarding transfers and fresh postings was issued late Saturday night after the completion of the Senate election process.
According to the official order, Dr Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal of Ghatshila College, has been appointed as the new Principal of Jamshedpur Co-operative College. Dr S.P. Mahalik, who was serving as Principal of Jamshedpur Workers College, has been transferred and posted as Principal of Bahragora College. Meanwhile, Dr Balakrishna Behera, Principal of Bahragora College, has been shifted to the PG Department of Odia at Jamshedpur.
In another key appointment, Dr Rajeev Kumar, a faculty member from the Physics Department of Jamshedpur Co-operative College, has been appointed as the new Principal of Jamshedpur Workers College.
As per the reshuffle, Dr Mandev Prasad, Principal of Degree College Manjhangaon, has been posted as a teacher at ABM College, while Dhananjay Kumar Soni, a teacher at Degree College Manjhangaon, has been appointed as the new Principal of the same college. Dr Anita Chaudhary from the PG Department of English, Chaibasa, has been transferred to Graduate College.
Further, Dr Rashmi Kumar from KSM College, Saraikela, has been posted at ABM College, Dr R.R. Rakesh from SB College Chandil has been transferred to Jamshedpur Co-operative College, and Dr Rajesh Kumar Mandal from Women’s College Chaibasa, has been posted as a teacher at SB College Chandil.
The university has also relieved Dr Archana Sinha of Graduate College, Amita Birua of Tata College Chaibasa, and Dr R.S.P. Singh of Jamshedpur Co-operative College from their additional charges at various colleges.
Additionally, Dr Nibaran Mahata from the PG Department of Sanskrit, Chaibasa, has been posted to Women’s College Chaibasa. Dr Swati Soren and Dr Amar Kumar from Jamshedpur Co-operative College have been transferred to KS College, Saraikela. Dr Anamika Kumar from Graduate College has been assigned to teach at KS College one day a week.
The reshuffle, which had been anticipated for some time, is being seen as a significant move by the Kolhan University administration following the completion of the Senate elections.
