Kolhan girls to participate in national music competition

Jamshedpur: Girls from Kolhan will be participating in the national music competition going to be held in Ahmedabad.
The second selection round for the upcoming event was held at XLRI auditorium on Wednesday. Kolhan Commissioner Braj Mohan Kumar and East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar graced the occasion along with other dignitaries.
The team from Eklavya Model Residential School, Chaibasa, was declared winner of the competition. Eklavya School, Sahibganj, was declared first runner-up while Eklavya School, Dumka, was the second runner-up of the competition. A special prize was give to the team from Lohardagga. A cash prize of Rs 50,000 was given to the winners.
Addressing the participants, the DC said the children should have confidence in their abilities and should be proud to be a pupil of Eklavya school.
