Jamshedpur: The commissioner of Kolhan Braj Mohan Kumar here on Monday directed the district authorities of East Singhbhum to provide LPG connection to all 10,720 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
He also asked the district administration to provide the benefits of Ujjwala Yojana to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He said the PMAY beneficiaries who were planning to perform Grih Pravesh for their new house by 14th November should be given LPG connection as well.
The commissioner said the administration should ensure timely distribution of the 50,551 MT food-grains remaining to be lifted from Food Corporation of India godowns by 24th October this year. He said all marketing officers should take the responsibility of distributing the foodgrains among the beneficiaries under various government food safety schemes.
Kumar further said that the ration for the month of October 2017 should be given to the Sabar families by 24th October. The agencies concerned should also lift sugar before Chhath Puja and distribute the same, he said.
The commissioner said the remaining white ration cards should be distributed without delay.
He said the farmers should be given forms to get registered for paddy acquisition by the government.
Today�s meeting was attended by the deputy commissioner (DC) Amit Kumar, SDO Dhalbhum Madhavi Mishra and other senior district officials.
