Jamshedpur: As part of the ongoing voter awareness initiatives in East Singhbhum district, Commissioner Kolhan Hari Kumar Keshari, DIG Kolhan Chothe Manoj Ratan, and DIG CRPF Puran Singh participated in a special program organized by the Sweep Cell of the District Administration at the Collectorate premises. The aim of the event was to encourage maximum voter turnout for the upcoming Assembly Elections on 13th November 2024.
The program witnessed the launch of mobile and vehicle stickers created by the Sweep Cell, which will help promote voter awareness throughout the district. This awareness chariot will travel across the district, especially focusing on areas with low voter turnout, such as villages, panchayats, blocks, markets, and remote rural regions, to raise awareness about the importance of voting and strengthen democratic participation.
The Sweep program saw participation from officials of nearby districts, including Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar in Odisha, as well as Purulia, West Medinipur, and Jhargram in West Bengal. Other notable attendees included Sweep Cell Nodal cum Deputy Municipal Commissioner JNAC Krishna Kumar, Deputy Election Officer Mrs. Priyanka Singh, District Public Relations Officer Panchanan Oraon, and various officials from the District Administration.

The initiative also included a voter oath ceremony and aimed to spread the message of responsible voting to both urban and rural populations in the district.
