Kisan Sabha protests caning of Haryana farmers

Jamshedpur, Sept 13: The Kisan Sabha and CITU jointly organized a vociferous protest rally on Saturday at Bodam Block against the caning of farmers in Kurushetra in Haryana. The protesters criticized the action and burnt the effigy of the Haryana government.

Speakers in the protest rally demanded that the Ordinance-2020 related to trade and commerce of agriculture produce, price fixation and essential commodities be withdrawn. Accusing the government move as a ploy to convert agriculture into corporate business and force farmers into slavery, the Kisan Sabha and CITU protesters said that the farmers were protesting as per the national programme on September 10 when wanton baton charge was unleashed on them. Those who participated in Saturday�s protest were Kisan Sabha district president Lotan Das, Gurupado, Daman, Habu, Manik, Sunil, Kalipado, Buchchu, Satish, Lakshmikant, Parikshit, Gautam, Vibhuti, Kartick, Taramoni, Pushpa, Basanti, Bedni, Niyoti, Parvati, Popu, Sindhu, Sandhya, Sabita, Kalpana, Rohini and others.
