Jamshedpur: The farmers of 50 villages of Chakulia block participated in the Kisan Panchayat organized in Mural village of Chakulia on Wednesday.
Addressing the farmers, Dr Dineshanand Goswami, former BJP state president, said the farmers of Chakulia need to focus on fishery and animal husbandry. He said Pani Panchayat had helped the farmers a lot. As a result, paddy and potato are being produced in the block, he said.
Goswami said the Central and state governments were running a number of welfare schemes for farmers. He said the farmers should avail benefits of these schemes by remaining aware. He said the BJP activists need to work on spreading public awareness.
Among those present on the occasion included Sangam Agrawal, Hiramani Hansda and Rajendra Singh Munda.
