Kin of Naxalite attack victims to get Rs 20 lakh

Ranchi: A compensation of Rs 20 lakh will be given to the next of kin of each of the five police personnel and three polling officers killed in the Naxalite attack in Shikaripara in Dumka on 24th April last.

A proposal to this effect was sent to the state government headquarters by the authorities concerned. The victims of the attack are presently under treatment at Apollo Hospital, Ranchi.

One of the victims Mohammad Naimuddin Ansari is hospitalized in this hospital. The deputy commissioner of Dumka Harsh Mangla talked to doctors of Apollo Hospital today and requested them to provide best possible treatment to the victims.

He also talked to the superintendent of Rajendra Institute of Medical Science, Ranchi, and asked him to take care of the patients in best possible manner.
