Jamshedpur, September 6: The work of beautification of Ghatshila railway station is going on under Amrit Bharat Yojana.
On Wednesday, RK Chaudhary DRM Kharagpur rail division and Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Varan Mahato inspected the station and observed the ongoing works.
Bidyut Varun Mahato told that the Ministry of Railways has approved Rs 33 crore in the first installment for the beautification of Ghatshila station. First of all, a 40 feet wide foot over bridge will be built in the station.
Apart from this, waiting rooms and toilets equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and other works will be done.
The MP demanded the DRM to stop Gitanjali Express, Mumbai Mail, Samaleshwari Express at Ghatshila railway station and start operations of other closed local trains as soon as possible.
The MP also talked about the stoppage of Ispat Express at Galudih railway station.
