Jamshedpur, Nov 11: A meeting of senior and well known citizens was held in the Sidgora Amal Sangh office in the course of which the members formed Kendriya Chhat Puja Ayojan Samiti (KCPAS) to help and cooperate with local Chhat Puja committees in conducting proper and hassle-free prayers of devotees. This information was provided by the Samiti’s spokesman Kamal Kishor Agrawal.
Noted political and social worker Anand Bihari Dubey was unanimously elected president of KCPAS. Legislator Mangal Kalindi was made chief patron while Akhileshwar Singh, SN Mehta, Mithilesh Srivastav, Awdhesh Singh, Manohar Singh, Dr Pawan Pandey, Ashok Pandey, Satish Singh and Samanto Kumar were named patrons.
The speakers who addressed the meeting urged th district administration that Chhat being the most important festival of people in Bihar and Jharkhand, devotees with their families assemble at river and lake banks to offer prayers to the setting and rising sun and thus the COVID precautionary protocols be lifted on the occasion like they were during the just concluded elections in Bihar and other states.
