Keeping up with wonder kids, Little Hearts School celebrates �Blue� Day

Play school re-invents to suit children of the new millennium

Jamshedpur, March 27 : Pre-school education for the toddler is being re-inventedin the city to suit the child of the new millennium. Taking the lead, Bistupur-basedplay school Little Hearts School is adopting innovative methods to teach small kids.

On Wednesday, the school campus turned blue in colour to celebrate �Blue Day�. From teachers to kids all were dressed in blue as part of the celebration. The kids were made to learn importance of the colour blue by using several creatives and models.

RubinaBodhanwala, principal of Little Hearts School said that the idea is to help kids widen their horizon as they grow up. She informed that the tools and practices are being brought forward through innovation and imagination.

�The colourblue symbolises stability,loyalty, wisdom and confidence.Little Hearts School tried to showcase this serene colour to the little ones in many different ways like telling them a story from the Panchtantra about the washerman and the jackal. We also used visual delight through PowerPoint presentation on blue coloured objects such as blueberries, sky, etc. Children also saw the marine life under the ocean and got tattoos made of a Blue Whale on their cheeks,� she said. The principal informed that after blue colour they will celebrate Yellow Day at the campus.  

Bodhanwala said that the education system has been constantly upgrading and improving itself, but possibly never faster than today. The school has also dedicated a separate room for Yoga where kids are being taught to learn about its basics and help them to remain fit and healthy.

�This is the age when children absorb everything and pick up their first lessons in life. They need an all-round development, including moral and physical,� she noted.

One parent feels that his daughter, now in Class I, has benefited immensely from Little Hearts education, �because it brought her into contact with kids her age, and gave her a chance to become confident before she entered school�.
