Jamshedpur: Kaustubh Mahotsava was celebrated with fervour at Shri Krishna Sinha Sansthan, Bistupur, on Friday. The general secretary of the institution, distinguished senior citizen and litterateur Hari Ballabh Singh Arsi led the event.
The chief guest of the programme was state food minister cum MLA of Jamshedpur West Saryu Roy who launched a book titled �Aviram� with other guests. Mementos were given to the guests on behalf of the institution.
In his address, Roy praised Arsi for his immense contributions to society through his various roles. He said Arsi�s life and contributions were yet to be fully appreciated, given their immensity.
He said much of the city�s literary and cultural existence was due to people like Arsi.
The vice chancellor of Kolhan University Dr Shukla Mohanty was the special guest of the occasion. She praised Arsi for his simple yet impressive personality and counted his contributions and achievements. The special guests of the event were Dr Ashok Priyadarshi and Rajeev Kumar Singh.
Among others present on the occasion included Dr Shanti Suman, Dr Sanjay Pankaj, Nand Kumar Unman, Dr Anita Sharma and Arunjaya Kumar.
