Jamshedpur, Sept 26: Kasidih High School came alive with devotion and festivity as it hosted a vibrant Durga Puja and Dussehra celebration, bringing together students, teachers and parents in a spirit of unity and cultural pride.
The celebration began with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness, followed by a graceful opening Bengali dance. Nursery and KG students extended a warm welcome through their opening speech, setting an enthusiastic tone for the program.
A highlight of the event was the presentation on the nine forms of Ma Durga by nursery students, whose depiction of the divine battle between Ma Durga and Mahishasura captivated the audience. The little ones further delighted everyone with a lively Dandiya dance, celebrating the conclusion of Navratri.
The program transitioned seamlessly to Dussehra celebrations with a dramatic Ravana dance themed “Ravana tha ek rakshas,” symbolizing the fall of evil. The festivities culminated in a spectacular dance performance showcasing the victorious return of Ram, Sita and Lakshman, symbolizing the eternal triumph of good over evil.
Vice Principal Rakesh Pandey and Coordinator Rita Mishra delivered closing remarks, appreciating the role of parents in encouraging student participation. The event, meticulously guided by teachers Harshita Sandhu, Priyanka, Mandeep, Neha, Manmeet and Khusboo blended devotion, culture and values, leaving a lasting impression on all.
