Jamshedpur: A final year student of Karim City College Department of Mass COM and NSS member Pinaki Ranjan Panda has been selected for the Republic Day parade on January 26.
He hails from Kesharda village under Baharagora Block. Pinaki�s father Kamal Kant Panda is a farmer while his mother Reena Panda is a housewife. The parents are elated at their son�s success.
For his selection, Pinaki Ranjan Panda attended a 10 day Pre RD camp at Ranchi where he had to undergo tests in parade, physical fitness competition and a dance presentation reflecting the cultural aspects of Jharkhand. At the camp, six out of 30 participants were selected. Two NSS candidates from Kolhan University, Pinaki and Chhabi were selected.
Pinaki was congratulated and honoured for his selection by Kolhan NSS coordinator Dr Prasun Dutt Singh, Principal Dr Md Zakaria, Program Officer Dr Sk Anwar Ali, and Saiyad Sajid Parvez.
