Jamshedpur, Dec. 3: International Day of Persons with Disabilities is annually held on December 3 to focus on issues that affect people with disabilities.
On the day, Viklang Kalyan Samiti distributed food items among the inmates of Old Age Home in Baradwari on Saturday.
At the event members of the Samiti pledged to look after the health and education of people suffering from disabilities and also aware the common people about the actual condition of the person with disability.
It was also decided to look after government organisation if they are following the rules and regulations.
On the occasion Rakesh Sahu said, most of the people don’t know as to how many persons with disability are living in their neighbourhood and the society and if they are getting equal rights.
It is also known that person with disability needs help of the common people of the society to move ahead in life and for their good health.
On the occasion general secretary of the samiti Chhagan Singh, secretary Loknath Sahu, social worker Rakesh Sahu, Manoj Kumar, Ramnarayan Sharma, Devanand Sahu, Chotu Bhai and other members were present.
