Jamshedpur: JNAC’s Kabad Mahotsav entered third day on Wednesday. A workshop titled ‘Waste to Wealth’ was organized on the premises of JNAC. More than 100 people associated with over a dozen different city-based organizations gave a demonstration of their talent by making interesting and useful artifacts during the workshop.
The workshop was inaugurated by ADM Subodh Kumar jointly with district education officer RKP Singh, MLA’s representative Pawan Agrawal, JNAC special officer Sanjay Kumar, Dr Manish Jha and Dr Meeta Tarafdar (both scientists).
In his speech, the ADM said the initiative taken by the JNAC was praiseworthy as it would greatly help put discarded household items to good use. He said people should take inspiration from the unique initiatives taken by the JNAC and contribute towards making their neighbourhood and the entire state and nation clean.
Other guests too, praised the JNAC officials for spreading awareness among the people on cleanliness and innovative use of household junk.
JNAC special officer said the Kabad Utsav would conclude tomorrow. People having created unique things out of junk would be felicitated on the occasion, he said.
Many organizations from across the city participated in Kabad Utsav.
They included Karim City College, Hind ITI, NML, NSS, KMPM College, Gurunanak School, Ravindra Kala Kendra and Change India Foundation.
