Jamshedpur, Oct 15: The alumni association of Jamshedpur Women�s College (JWC) in association with organization �Udaan� organized an exhibition cum sale of candles and diyas in the college premises on Thursday, October 15. �Udaan� helps in Women empowerment of physically and mentally challenged girls.
These girls make Candles, Diyas and other things and the fund raised by the sales of these products is used to support the girls for their livelihood. This Exhibition was inaugurated by Mrs. Jyoti Bhatia, President, Alumni Association, Jamshedpur Women�s College and Dr. Sujata Sinha, Principal Jamshedpur Women�s College.
Different varieties of stalls were on display including decorative diyas, candles and beautiful trays which were a great attraction for both the students and the teachers.
On the occasion Mrs. Jyoti said, supporting these girls is a noble cause. Dr. Sujata Sinha, appreciated the efforts of these girls and blessed them for their future.
Faculty members Dr. K Annapurna HOD Department of Home Science and Dr. Deepa Sharan HOD Department of Commerce played vital role in making the exhibition a success.
