Ranchi: Jharkhand Vikas Yuva Morcha members and supporters took out a protest march to the Raj Bhavan in support of the demand for special state status for Jharkhand.
A large number of party activists had gathered at the Morabadi ground in the morning. Addressing the rally, the party president and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi said the special state status will expedite development activities in the state.
He said a state government led by JVM will define a domicile policy for the state. Hundreds of party activists participated in the march to the Raj Bhavan. A delegation of party leaders met the governor Dr Syed Ahmed and handed over a memorandum addressed to the President of India to him.
