Jamshedpur : In protest against potholes at the NH-33 stretch linking state capital and Jamshedpur will witness blockade after Durga Puja.
The blockade aimed at sending a message to government will be undertaken by hundred of JVM activists led by Jamshedpur MP Ajoy Kumar on October 26 and 27.
The horrible condition of the NH-33 between Ranchi and Jamshedpur is a clear example of that negligence. If there is a delay on part of the NH agency then at least the state government should carry out temporary repairing of the highway. What is stopping the local government from improving the pathetic condition, said Kumar.
He said the stretch between Chandil and Dimna, on the NH-33, is pitiable and deserves immediate attention but concerned agencies of the state government are apparently insensitive to the issue.
It is really sad that for the last several months I have only been receiving assurances from the senior authorities (of state road construction dept) but theres no progress on the ground as far as NH construction work is concerned, said Kumar.
“NH 33 has become a death bed. It is a nightmare to travel from Chandil to Bahragora. Roads reflect the development of a state. But roads in Jharkhand have become bad to worse,” he noted.
