Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha activists staged a demonstration before Tata Motors gate on Saturday in support of various demands related to facilities for workers and service benefits for them.
The JVM secretary Abhay Singh led the agitation demanding early fulfillment of the demands that mainly include increase in bonus, medical facility for retired company employees, regularizing contract workers, stopping alleged exploitation of workers in the name of safety and job opportunities for employee wards.
�The main purpose of our agitation is to ensure welfare of workers who are being neglected. We demand increase in bonus amount, medical facilities for the retired employees and measures to stop exploitation of workers among other demands.
This is not something new as we have long been pushing for the fulfillment of these demands,� said Singh.
Among those present during the agitation include Firoz Khan, Babua Singh, Sanatan Manjhi, Jatashankar Pandey, Ravindra Mishra, Suryakant Jha and Jeevan Lal.
