Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha leaders today delivered a pep talk to party activists at a public meeting organized at Aam Bagan, Sakchi, prior to the filing of nomination by party candidate for Jamshedpur constituency Dr Ajay Kumar. A large number of party candidates were present during the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the party central committee secretary cum election in-charge Abhay Singh said the Bharatiya Janata Party had been making hollow claims regarding the popularity of Gujarat Chief Minister and BJPs Prime-ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. He said there was no such wave of Modi in the state. He said the BJP had taken longer than expected to announce its candidate. This indicated lack of confidence in the party leaders, he said.
Many other JVM leaders too, addressed the meeting. They alleged that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Congress party, BJP and other parties had simply fooled and misguided the voters. They said the voters should not give in to the appeals of these parties in the larger interest of the society and their future.
The sitting MP of Jamshedpur Dr Ajay Kumar appealed to party activists not to violate the Model Code of Conduct in any condition. He asked them to remain at the public meeting venue as planned earlier by the party so that no charge of violation of the Model of Conduct is leveled against them.
Among other party leaders present on the occasion included Dulal Bhuiyan, Sanatan Manjhi, Khelaram Besra, Firoz Khan, Dr Dinesh Sarangi and Arvind Singh.
