Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) leader Abhay Singh today demanded the construction of a flyover by Tata Steel. He said unless and until the flyover demand was fulfilled, the party will oppose the proposal of CRM (cold rolling mill) expansion.
Speaking to scribes at the party office at Kasidih on Friday, the JVM leader said the party activists will be staging a dharna at the CRM gate on 12th May in favour of various demands in the interest of the city people. He said the gate will also be locked by the JVM activists.
We will be launching a phased agitation to get our demands fulfilled. JVM leaders were ignored during the public hearing while several dubious people and members Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce were invited to the hearing. This should be explained by the organizers, said Singh.
The JVM leader alleged that thousands of litres of water was being wasted on keeping city golf grounds green while residents of many localities were being deprived of drinking water. He said many city streets were in shambles while roads in Circuit House Area were repaired frequently.
