Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha(JVM) activists will burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union railway minister Sadanand Gowda tomorrow at Sakchi roundabout to protest the various provisions of the Union Rail Budget 2014-15.
The outfit leader Abhay Singh alleged that the PM had shown his parochial attitude by proposing to run the bullet train from Ahmadabad to Mumbai. He said the bullet train should have instead run the train from New Delhi to Kolkata.
�No high speed train was linked to Jharkhand which is disappointing for the people of the state. This is gross injustice with the people of the state.
The railway budget seems to be designed only to benefit corporate houses and influential businesspersons.
This is why the demands for new trains including trains from Jamshedpur to Jaipur, Dehradun and other parts of the country were ignored in the budget,� said the JVM leader.
