Jamshedpur : JVM and Congress activists are face-off in view of attack on Jharkhand Vikas Morcha activist who was stabbed by a group of youths said to be Congress supporters near Tagore Academy under Sakchi police station area.
The victim, identified as Kunal Gupta, who was stabbed, was attacked allegedly for protesting bogus voting by a section of Congress workers in support of JMM candidate Niroop Mahanty at the Tagore Academy polling booth during the Lok Sabha elections here on April 17. Gupta was rushed to MGM Medical College and Hospital for treatment of his stab injuries.
He has sustained razor injuries. JVM president Feroz Khan led JVM workers and met city SP Karthik S and sought immediate arresting. Congress workers handed memoranda to SP City demanding fair probe. Paritosh Singh, Surendra Sharma, Rakesh Sahu, Sanjay Yadav, Pawan Tiwari, Raj Kishore Prasad, Ashish Mukhi, Rajesh Chaudhary were present.
