Jusco union meeting held to discuss AGM plans

Jamshedpur: A meeting of Jusco Shramik Union was held at the union auditorium on Sunday. It was presided over by the union president Raghunath Pandey. Various issues related to the conduct of the annual general meeting of the union were discussed at length by the members.

In his address, Pandey said the Jusco employees should attend the AGM of the union in large numbers and make it a grand success. He said the strong presence of the employees will ensure a peaceful conduct of the AGM.

Pandey said he wanted a peaceful conduct of the AGM. He said he and his supporters were sure of the support of other employees and members of the union. He said the AGM should be conducted in a free and fair manner.

Also present during the union meeting, VK Dubey, a senior member of the union. He said the majority of members of the union had decided that the AGM will be conducted at the Utkal Association. He said certain union officials VD Gopal Krishna, BB Thakur and YP Singh were trying to create an atmosphere of fear and controversy on the issue of deciding the venue for the AGM without any reason or rhyme.

He said the venue was safe and in the middle of the city. Earlier, the AGM was held twice at Michael John Auditorium at Bistupur since the auditorium was allotted free of cost to the union, Dubey said.

Among those present in today’s meeting included SL Das, PN Singh, RK Pandey, Srilal, RK Thakur, Govind Jha, Suraj Singh, Jadu Hansda, MA Rehman, ID Singh, KP Tiwary, T Kumar, BK Sharma, Sandhya Kumari, Firoz Ali Khan, Srikant Dev, CD Krishna, Laxman Singh, Ashok Kumar Singh, Manoj Pandey, Ashwini Pal, AK Singh, RK Shukla, Soni and Savita Mukhi.
