Jamshedpur, Jan. 27: The 68th Republic Day of India was celebrated at Jusco School South Park (JSSP) with much enthusiasm and fervor on Thursday.
The Chief Guest, R. Ravi Prasad, President, Tata Workers Union (TWU) Jamshedpur unfurled the national flag and addressed the students reminding them of the arduous struggle of the country towards becoming an independent republic. He also exhorted them to work harder and become responsible citizens of the country.
The programme was also graced by Praveen Kumar S, Director Science Educational Program, SYVM, Mysuru as the Guest of Honour. In his speech, he stressed upon the need to develop India in a balanced way, wherein everybody becomes self dependent. He urged the students to be such Indians that India will be proud of.
The parents present on the occasion were highly impressed by the richness, strength, nationalism and resilience of JSSP’s culture imbibed in its students. They were enthralled by the performance of the students on the song ‘Satyameva Jayate’ depicting national integration. The choir mesmerized the audience with the song ‘Shoulder to Shoulder’ and ‘Hum Rahi Hain, Hum Saathi Hain, Hum Veer Sipahi Hain’.
The idea and concept of the cultural programme was conceived by the School Principal, Shovna De. The programme was also graced by the presence of School Vice Principal, Mili Sinha, Coordinators K. Jaishree & Soma Banerjee along with the other teachers and staff members.
