Jusco observes National Safety Day

Jamshedpur : Jusco, 100 per cent subsidiary of Tata Steel observed 44th National Safety Day on Wednesday.

Shyam Sunder, chief corporate safety, Tata Steel, Ashish Mathur, MD, Jusco and Raghunath Pandey, union president, hoisted the safety flag.

Senior official Sharad Kumar, presented the last year safety performance, initiatives of the organization and way forward to achieve zero accident status.

Various safety competitions like, safety poster, quiz, slogan, puzzle, housekeeping etc were organised to create safety awareness during the month.

Prizes to the winners of the contents were distributed during the function. Jusco MD stressed upon the importance of safety and having zero tolerance on safety during the execution of any work by Jusco.

The reducing trend of the accidents in the organization in comparison to previous years was appreciated by Shyam Sunder who in his address pointed out on ways to achieve zero injury / incidents by inculcating safety in individual behavior which should be driven by all senior leaders.
