Jamshedpur, March 15: Jusco has launched an anti-power theft drive in the city during which it was found that shops near Star Talkies New Railway Booking Counter were illegally drawing power from 415 V B-10 A sub-station by puncturing the cable.
An FIR was lodged on four shop owners with the Burmamines police via case No.18/16 dated 11.03.16 of 135/137 Electricity Act. Birendra Singh, s/o Bachha Singh – owner of Darshan Food Junction is an accused.
Jusco disconnected power supply and slapped a Rs. 41375 fine on Chedi Yadav, s/o Tapaswer Yadav – owner of Food Joint.
Jusco also disconnected power supply and slapped a fine of Rs.7757 on Binod Kumar, s/o Bhola Prasad – owner of a grocery store.
A fine of Rs. 9481 was also imposed on Pankaj, s/o Mannu Ram – owner of Motor Garage and Motor Parts.
