Jamshedpur, Nov. 23: Observing November as the Quality Month, Jusco�s ICS department, along with its procurement department organized a two-day skill development program for the worker of its vendors� on November 23 and 24. The programme aims to improve the quality of services provided by the ICS department.
This Jusco department provides essential services like plumbing, painting, carpentry, tiling etc and others. It is expected that the skill development programme will help educate the vendors� workers on latest technologies and best practices, assisting them to provide better quality service in a cost-effective manner.
The program was inaugurated on Monday at Jusco Green by Ashish Mathur, company managing director, along with Mr. Raghunath Pandey, president, Jusco Shramik Union.
The inaugural function was attended by all officers and workers including the senior leadership team and other office bearers of Jusco Shramik Union. After the inauguration, manufacturers from different parts of the country showcased their latest products and technology related to plumbing, painting and tiles and their experts started the skill development session with the workers in their designated stalls at Jusco Green.
The manufacturers/experts that showcased their products and provided training to the workers included Parryware, Jaquar, Omco, Prayag, ICI Dulux, Asian Paints, Birla White, Kajaria, Johnson, and Nitco. R.K Sharma, retired certified trainer of Tata Steel, will conduct training on carpentry.
The manufacturers educated the workers on each of their product highlights and utilities, and also on the effective ways to use them, to enhance the service quality.
