Juniors impress in recitation competition at Loyola School Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Nov 3: A mass Hindi poetry recitation competition was organized among the school children on Friday at Loyola School, Telco. The participating students impressed teachers and judges alike with their recitation of poems. All students of classes UKG to III participated in the event.

School Administrator, Fr Gerry said, “The main purpose behind this Hindi poetry recitation competition among children is to develop their ability to learn and move forward. It is the first step in their academic development and in future, to come up on stage and stand before the audience without fear. This is a part of our motivational effort to make them good and effective speakers.”

In this poetry recitation competition, the children gave the audience a joyous and emotional treat through recitation of conscience stirring poems including ‘Children are going to work,’ ‘Don’t divide humans,’ ‘Our resolution,’ ‘Moon’s kurta,’ ‘Pigeon and hunter,’ ‘Butterfly and bud,’ among others.

The class-wise winners were UKG C (First), UKG A (Second) and UKG B (Third); Class I C (First), I B (Second) and I A (Third); place – first B, third place first A; II A (First), II A (Second) and II B (Third); III C (First), III A (Second) and III B (Third).

The panel of judges comprised Teachers Lakshmi Dubey, Ranjita Minz and Dipti Surin.

School Principal, Charanjeet Ohson, Coordinator M Zeenat Maria Sundi and Administrator Father Gerry encouraged the children into making the event endearing and memorable.
