Jamshedpur: A meeting of 20 Point Programme Implementation Committee of Jamshedpur block was held at the Jamshedpur block headquarters on Saturday. It was chaired by the committee president Ram Singh Munda. Various government schemes were reviewed at the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, BDO of Jamshedpur Malay Kumar said a total of 7337 people were benefitting from old age pension, social security pension, widow pension and other welfare schemes of the social welfare department. Many more beneficiaries are being targeted so that they start getting the benefits of these schemes, said the BDO.
The issue of alleged encroachment of land near a canal in Sunder Kerwadungri was raised. The committee president asked the junior engineers to ensure quality in development projects. He said the junior engineers will be held responsible for any defect or drawback in projects.
Among others present at the meeting included Sanjeev Mukherjee, Rocky Singh, Neeraj Singh, Poresh Mukhi, Pramila Sahu, Dr Naveen Chandra Singh, Raas Bihari Choubey, Manju, Subhash Munda and Bhagirath.
