Jugsalai all set to tackle flood threat

Jamshedpur, July 24: The incessant rain has made for a flood like situation in and around Jamshedpur. The district administration has sounded alert and Jugsalai is all set to deal with any untoward situation.

A civil defence meeting was held at Nasim Hall in Gouri Shankar Road and Maheshwari mandal in ME School Road, Jugsalai on Monday. The meet was headed by deputy divisional warden of civil defence, Prabudh Kumar Bajpayee.

The meeting focused on the steps to tackle the flood as the low-lying areas are the worst affected. The people attending the meet were informed about the safety measures and said that during the crisis situation if we can work with diligence the loss can be reduced. The people living in low-lying areas were informed about the rescue and relief work through loudspeakers.

They were told that in case of crisis, stay arrangements have been done at Maheshwari mandal, Shiv Mandir, Nasim Mariage Hall and Gouri Shankar Road’s situated Kabristan Hall. At these places food arrangements are also in place. The people were told not to panic in any kind of situation and they can take shelter in any of the places arranged by the administration.
