Jugsalai residents celebrate Holi with colours and flowers

Jamshedpur: Several members of Rajasthani community celebrated dry Holi in Jugsalai. Holi was celebrated with colours and flowers under the aegis of Manav Kalyan Seva Samiti.

The outfit members appealed to the people not to use water. Their appeal was well taken as a large number of people gathered to play dry Holi. The revelers moved through the streets, smearing gulal and abir on each other and throwing flowers on each other.

The celebration started at Sri Ram Tekri temple and moved through Jugsalai Main Road, Girls’ School Road, Naya Bazar, Marwari Para Road, Chowk Bazar and Ram Tekri Road.

A procession of Lord Krishna sitting on a chariot decorated beautifully was taken out on the occasion. Matki Phod programme was also organized at four different places.

A float on Shiv Parivar and Radha-Krishna was also taken out.
