Jugsalai Railway Over Bridge ready for inauguration, SCCI thanks all stakeholders

Jamshedpur, Dec 29: Jugsalai Railway Over Bridge (ROB) construction is complete and it would be opened for the public in the New Year. With the project’s completion, the over 50 year-old demand of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has been finally fulfilled.

SCCI sources said the Chamber had long been pressing the state and Central governments to build the ROB. Chamber also wrote to the Union Railway Minister, Former Chief Minister and local administration regarding their demand, but failed to evoke their response. The traders had approached the MP of Jamshedpur Bidyut Baran Mahato in this regard and sought his intervention on the matter. The MP spoke to Union Railway Minister and various authorities and got the ROB constructed finally. Local MLAs had also raised the issue in the Jharkhand Assembly. The demand was first raised in 1978. Thereafter the demand was iterated multiple times by various Chamber leaders.

The foundation stone of the ROB project was laid by the then Chief Minister of Jharkhand Raghubar Das on 6^th November 2018. Chamber members thanked all former CMs, former MPs, current MP, current MLAs and other social organizations for their role in the successful completion of the ROB project.
