Jugsalai: Drains to be covered with net

Jamshedpur : As per the instructions of the Executive Officer of Jugsalai Municipality, JP Yadav and according to the guide of Garbage Free City, Jugsalai has been applied for 3 stars by the Municipal Council under which drains are being covered. The executive officer said that people usually dump the waste coming out of the houses which contain waste like plastic, wrappers, etc. into the drains which causes the drains to get jammed and the water to overflow and start flowing on the roads. The shopkeepers also put the waste discharged into the drains in the morning and evening, these wastes not only jam the drains but also go into the rivers and contaminate them and also harm aquatic organisms.

The executive officer said that due to the lattice in the drains, the garbage does not flow further and the cleaning workers are able to remove the collected plastic and waste. He said that the cleanliness survey is going to start in which the investigation team will check the cleanliness at various levels.
