Jamshedpur: Two armed criminals shot dead their rival, one Chhotu Teena, near Patiala Bar behind Bodhanwala Garage at Bistupur on Saturday.
They pumped two bullets in the victims head, police said.
Sources said the incident took place around 9.30 am behind Patiala Bar. Teena who had called the accused persons, Bhakur alias Khurshid and Kana Chhotu, at the bar, reportedly wanted to get the two arrested. The accused persons had reportedly come to know about Teenas plans and planned to take revenge by eliminating him.
Before Teena, accused of several crimes, could go ahead with his plan, the two visitors took out arms and pointed the same on him. Bhakur reportedly opened fire on Teena from close range, sources said.
Teenas friend Usman told police he was with the deceased in the morning before the latter left for the bar on the way to Kharkai river.
Police said the accused killers had been sent out of the district under tadipar orders few days back. The tadipar period started on 8th September 2016 and was about to end on 7th march last.
In February this year, the two were caught in Jugsalai violating the order. The two were released at the expiration of the tadipar period.
After coming out of jail, Bhakur had allegedly fired six rounds at the house of one Raja of Jugsalai. Although police did not register an FIR in this connection, they began search for Bhakur and came to know that he had purchased sophisticated arms with his friend Chhotu Kana.
When police learnt from Teena that Bhakur was around, they tried to catch him by calling him to Patiala Bar. But before plans could work out, Bhakur got the better of police and killed Teena.
