Jamshedpur, Dec. 1: Voluntary blood donation is a selfless service and an expression of love for mankind.
Blood knows no caste, creed, colour, religion or race. �Many accident victims, innocent children suffering from thalassemia, pregnant women, cancer patients and other people in life threatening situations die due to shortage of blood.
Joint Unit Council (JUC) Utilities tried to meet the requirement of precious blood by organizing a voluntary blood donation camp on Tuesday, December 1 at the Blood Bank, Jamshedpur.
The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Raghunath Pandey, President Jusco Shramik Union and Mr. Deepak Kamath, Sr. GM Support Services, Jusco. Mr. Manmohan Singh, Chairman, Mr Abhik Chatterjee, Secretary, Ms Uma Ramna, Alternate Secretary of JUC Utilities along with other members from JUC, employees and Union representatives were present at the Blood Bank.
At total of 83 units of blood was collected during the camp at the blood bank.
