Jubilee Park shimmers in out of the world glory as Noel N Tata switches on light display

Jamshedpur, March 2: The 184th birth anniversary of Tata group founder Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata started with inauguration of illumination of Jubilee Park on Thursday, March 2.

On the eve of Founder’s Day, the illumination was inaugurated by Noel N Tata, Vice Chairman, Tata Steel in the presence of TV Narendran, CEO & Managing Director, Tata Steel and senior officials of the company.  

He along with other dignitaries also paid homage to the Founder.

Lightings are in place around the statue area and roadside illumination from the CFE Gate to the Sakchi gate via the Baug e Jamsheed Gate and back. Illumination inside the Jubilee Park includes tree wrapped with LED lights, coloured decorative lights on plants and shrubs and decorative shapes on Street light poles.

This year’s theme of Founder’s Day is “Greennovation-Make Tomorrow Green”

Chanakya Choudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel, Rituraj Sinha, MD, Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited were also present.

The lightings will remain in place from March 3-5 inside Jubilee Park.

Also present were Tata Workers Union President Sanjeev Choudhary, general secretary Satish Singh, deputy president Shailesh Singh, Union leaders Raghunath Pandey and Rakeshwar Pandey along senior officials of Tata Steel.

Apart from Jubilee Park, this year elaborate lighting has been done in 40 roundabouts of the city along with landmark locations across Jamshedpur including heritage buildings, places of worship, etc. 

The use of colorful lights as a key part of the celebrations will be a welcome reminder to citizens and visitors on the beauty of the city. 

Jubilee Park: Lighting to remain open from March 3-5

Jubilee Park will be open to public from March 3 to 5. For pedestrians the lighting inside Jubilee Park will be open from 6.30 PM to 10 PM and for drive though the vehicles will be allowed from am PM to 11 PM.

Route for vehicle will be – In from CFE Gate – Lake Turn –Nicco Park – Statue Area – Out through CFE Gate.

  1. Very nice ! I’ve sweet memories of this occasion. In 1965 while I was student of Rajshan Vidyamandir,sakchi Jamshedpur,on this ouspicious occasion we each student of all the schools of Jamshedpur would given 12 toffees in packet with the photo of Tata saa’b !! what the nice occasion !!
