Jamshedpur: In view of public safety and crowd management during the year-end festivities, the Sub-Divisional Officer, Dhalbhum, has granted temporary permission to keep both gates of Jubilee Park closed from December 25, 2025, to January 5, 2026.
According to an official order issued by the Sub-Divisional Officer’s office, Tata Steel Limited’s Town Operations and Maintenance department had informed the administration that, as in previous years, a large number of people, including tourists from other states, gather at Jubilee Park from Christmas to the first week of the New Year for picnics and festivities. This heavy influx leads to congestion on adjoining roads and inside the park premises, increasing the risk of accidents.

Considering the situation from a security and public safety perspective, Tata Steel had requested permission to temporarily close both entry gates of Jubilee Park during the period. After reviewing the request and prevailing conditions, the administration approved the proposal in the interest of public safety.
The order clarifies that the temporary closure has been permitted solely to prevent overcrowding and ensure smooth traffic movement and safety during the peak festive period. The directive will remain effective from December 25, 2025, to January 5, 2026.
