Jamshedpur, June 6: Tata Motors Jamshedpur Plant won the first prize in Industry�s category of Jharkhand by Jharkhand State pollution Control Board (JSPCB) for best Environmental Initiatives on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5. In the same category Tata Steel, Jamshedpur won the 2nd prize.
A full day seminar was organised on the occasion by JSPCB on �Biodiversity and Sustainable Management of Natural Resources� at Hotel BNR Chanakya, Ranchi.
C P Singh, Minister, Urban Development, Govt. of Jharkhand was Chief Guest for the occasion.
The award was received by Manoj Ram, DGM (Construction, CPED & Environment) and Mukteshwar Verma, AGM (Environment & Energy Management) on behalf of Tata Motors Ltd. Jamshedpur from Rajbala Verma, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Jharkhand.
Prashant Krishnan, D.M. (Environment & Energy Mgt. was invited as Guest Speaker on the occasion, he presented a technical paper on �Sustainable Management of Natural Resources� Technical session was chaired by Mukhtiyar Singh, Retd. IAS
