MLA Sanjib Sardar Push Boosts Hope for JSLPS Staff

Ranchi: Potka MLA Sanjib Sardar raised the issue of employee welfare linked to the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) in the Assembly, prompting a positive response from the state government and bringing relief to thousands of rural livelihood workers.

Sardar highlighted the concerns of personnel associated with the rural livelihood mission and urged the government to implement a revised Human Resource (HR) policy to ensure better service conditions and job security for JSLPS employees across the state.

In response, the government acknowledged that it is implementing rural livelihood initiatives in Jharkhand through JSLPS under the National Rural Livelihood Mission. It informed the House that authorities have already started the process to implement the “Revised Model Human Resource Policy 2024.”

The government also confirmed that the governing body has approved the revised policy, marking a key step towards its rollout. Officials said they expect to implement the policy soon, raising hopes among employees who have long demanded better service structures and working conditions.

The proposed HR policy aims to provide clearer service rules, improved salary structures and allowances, better promotion opportunities, enhanced job stability, and stronger safeguards aligned with employees’ responsibilities.

The move is expected to strengthen the working ecosystem for thousands of grassroots workers engaged in rural development and livelihood programmes across Jharkhand.

Employees and stakeholders have widely appreciated Sardar’s intervention, expressing optimism that the government will expedite the implementation process and deliver long-awaited relief.
