Jamshedpur, Feb 8: A day after Ranji match officials including coaches, scorers and Jharkhand State Cricket Association officials were found consuming liquor at their enclosure in Keenan Stadium, former cricketers protested against the activities of the officials at the stadium on Sunday on day 3 of the Ranji Trophy match played between Jharkhand and Services.
Formers cricketers holding placards which displayed �Keenan main Madhushala� which was published by a local Hindi daily on Saturday after the matter came into light on Friday during the first day of the match.
The ex-cricketers demanded strict action against the officials involved in the case and during their protest at the gallery of the stadium also scrambled with the police officials present at the venue.
The incident has given another reason for protest to the ex- cricketers who have earlier accused the JSCA of ruining the state of cricket in Jamshedpur.
