JPS students, teachers shine at international dance competition

Jamshedpur, May 4: The dance group of Jamshedpur Public School (JPS) earned accolades not only at the national level but also at the International Level.

The junior dance group of the school participated in an International Dance Competition in Dhaka, Bangladesh organised by the ‘ Bangladesh Nritto Rong ltd & Bangladesh lok sanskitic Songod’ to commemorate the ‘International Dance day’ on 29 and 30 April.

The students Arpita, Shreya, Vaishnavi, Priya, Nirjala and Shovna stood first in the classical category and have been awarded ‘International Nakshatra Award’ and thus have become the ambassadors of International Cultural friendship Agreement.

Nirjala stood first in Solo performance while Vaishnavi has been conferred with ‘Exemplary Dancer Award’.

The teacher Bharti Banerjee, has been awarded ‘Nritya Shiromani Award’ thus becoming a messenger of International Cultural Friendship. The organisers acknowledged the initiatives of the Principal Namita

Agarwal and awarded a certificate of’ Friendship & Cultural Exchange Commitment’ to the school.
