Jamshedpur, September 26: Jamshedpur Public School (JPS) conducted knock out Intra School Football tournament for the senior students of Std VIII-XII on Monday.
This tournament is organised every year in memory of the student Soumen Das who was an avid footballer. The students of Std VIII- XII were full of enthusiasm as the football match gave the students an opportunity to relax and de-stress as they had spent the last ten days studying for their first term exam which got over on September 23.
After some intense football matches, the champions trophy was bagged by the students of Std XB and the Runner Up trophy was won by students of Std XII A.
It was a day of victory for the Games teachers Teacher Soumitro and Teacher Mohan, to see all the teams playing a fine match.
According to them the joy of participation in a sport itself instills in the students a sense of confidence and discipline.
