JPS: Annesha bags ‘Principal�s Award’ for Most Versatile Student

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Public School (JPS) celebrated its 23rd Annual Prize Night with enthusiasm and zeal in the school premises on Monday, October 30.

The programme began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp to invoke the blessings of the almighty. During the programme, School Principal, Namita Agarwal presented Annual Report of the school.

In the category of Special Prizes, Varsha Kabi and Priyank Agarwal of Std. XII were awarded �Jewel in the Crown�. The Principal�s Award for Most Versatile Student was bagged by Annesha Palit of Std. XII. Students of Std. X who secured 10 Points (CGPA) in Board Exams were also awarded for their achievement.

In the category of Group Award of Std. VI & VII, Smriti Upasana and for Std. VIII & IX, Chhavi Sinha bagged the prizes of �Outstanding Student Award�. Students with the highest scores in all subjects were also given Proficiency Awards.

Most Meritorious Student Award donated by Surekha Nerurkar was jointly bagged by Rahul Tiwary, Pratya Amrit, Rohit Kumar and Deeptam Das. The highlight of the evening was the theme �Sustainable Tourism for Development� on which the students performed song, dance and drama spreading awareness of the rich heritage of various civilizations and a better appreciation of the inherent values of different cultures, thereby contributing to the strengthening of peace in the world.

The students of Junior Block showcased their process with a breathtaking dance performance.

It was an evening of inspirational speeches, particularly by magnanimous Chief Guest Rajkumar Prasad Singh and other dignitaries. Also present at the event were President AIWC Srimanti Sen, vice president of AIWC Alokananda Bakshi, educationalist Lalita Sareen and others.
