Joint surveillance team of Govt of India and WHO to inspect work on COVID front in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Dec 11: The joint surveillance team of Government of India and World Health Organization will inspect and monitor the ongoing health programs in nine districts of Jharkhand including East Singhbhum.

Dr Kristin and Dr. Samiuddin, who were included in the two-member team and Dr. Suman Kandulna from the World Health Organization posted in the district, will support the team, which mainly includes AFP, Measles Surveillance, Routine Immunization, and COVID-19 vaccination in the district and block and will supervise and monitor the COVID-19 status.

The team was welcomed by the District Surveillance Officer Dr Sahir Pal and presented an updated appraisal on all the COVID-19 activities going on in the district surveillance. The team visited the Regional Vaccine Center and inquired about the progress of vaccination. The team then met the DC and gave a detailed account of the inspection and monitoring such activities. Dr Sahir Pal was directed by DC Suraj Kumar to provide all necessary support to the team and if any problem arose, to contact him immediately over the phone. Public Health Manager Suman Kumar Mandal, Abhishek, Sushil Tiwari, Dr Asad, Pradyuman Kumar, Santosh Pal and others were present on the occasion.
