Joint Secretary orders to pay farmers immediately against paddy purchase


Ranchi, Jan. 5: Joint Secretary, CM Secretariat Pramod Tiwary ordered to pay the farmers against purchase of paddy.

He said that the officers of concerned districts should contact the state food corporation, get allotment & start payment process to the farmers. Mr. Tiwary said it while reviewing the complaints at Jan Samvad Kendra.

On the complaint of Mr. Sitaram Mehta of Hazaribag, who like many others , sold paddy to Krishi Saakh Sahyog Samiti in 2014 & has not been paid till date, the JS took it very seriously & directed to pay the farmers as soon as possible. Nearly 8 crore rupees of farmers is due in lack of allotment. Mr. Tiwari directed to get the allotment from the corporation.

Regarding lifting of 5 packets of Madarsa rice in Hazaribag in October 2015, the teachers reported that BO & BRP have done the mischief which was later on established by a higher committee. The department is directed to take action against the BO & BRP & ask show cause notice from the BDO, who didn�t find faults with them.

On the complaint of rape victim against Kaddus Mian from Dumka, Shikaripara, who vexes the complainant on way to court, the SP of the district was intimated with the whole episode & asked to provide security to the victim.

On the complaint of the family members of 2 children who were abducted & killed in 2012 at Kalyanpur, Garhwa against the accused of lodging false cases on them, the investigation carried by DSP & SP were turned down. Seeing the complicacy of the case, the JS directed to get it probed by a DIG level officer.

Apart from this, complaints related with electricity connection, education loan, payment against well digging, pension payment, lifting rice of mid-day meal, nonpayment of wages to 40 labourers for three months, old age and widow pension, use of below level materials in building construction, transformer repair and many other complaints were dealt & directions were given by the JS.
