Jamshedpur, Oct 18: Jamshedpur Public School (JPS) defeated KPS Burmamines 4-1 (junior category) in the opening match of the JOGGA Inter School Junior and Senior Boys Football Championship being hosted by SDSM School for Excellence at Armoury Ground.

Eight matches were played on day one of the four-day tournament. 24 school teams and participating in the junior and 26 in senior category.
In the second match Blue Bell beat Central Public School 3-0, AIWC Academy overcame Baridih High Schhol 3-0 while KPS Kadma thrashed DBMS 3-1.

In another match South Point School beat Baldwin 3-0, Kasidih High School got the better of DAV NIT with a 2-0 win. SDSM School won the match 2-1 against St. Mary’s Hindi and Andhra Association defeated KSMS 2-0.
Earlier, Archana Gupta, President JOGGA was the Chief Guest for the opening function.
